Hongkong and Macau in the 60s, and more

This nice documentary that I've seen via sf's blog 船山筆記 shows our old Hongkong and Macau in the 60s. I don't know where did the author get those images neither what he explains in the film (in Dutch?). Anyway, images show life and costumes of people, children, housing, some local industries at that time like fishing, farming, making plastic flowers, and producing firecrackers by hand in Macau etc ! Of course, street scenes are interesting parts of the film. There are also some important images like the Shek-kip-mei fire in 1953 (see wiki here)...

I have thus also discovered this Hongkong Database Page (香港誌) which is collecting little by little the history and culture development of Hongkong. Too bad it is only in Chinese for the moment.

From that Hongkong database, I've found another documentary (日治時的香港 1941-1945) showing some historical images of Hongkong fallen in the hands of Japan during the war. A period that Hongkong people call it "3-years and 8-months", between the 25th December 1941 and the 16th August 1945.


J'ai découvert ce documentaire de "Hongkong et Macao dans les années 60" via un blog hongkongais 船山筆記. J'ignore la source d'images ni la commentaire (en hollandais ?). Des images de la vie quotidienne et les costumes, les enfants, les logements, des industries locaux de l'époque comme la pêche, l'agriculture, la fabrication des fleurs plastiques, et la production des pétards artisanal à Macao etc ! Bien sûr, les scènes des rues sont intéressantes. Puis, il y a aussi des images importantes comme le feu à Shek-kip-mei en 1953 (voir wiki ici)...

J'ai découvert également ce Hongkong Database Page ( 香港誌), intéressant, collectant l'histoire et la culture de Hongkong, mais en chinois uniquement.

Un autre documentaire (日治時的香港 1941-1945) que j'ai découvert via ce Hongkong Database a montré quelques images de Hongkong pendant la guerre, occupé par le Japon. Une période noire que les Hongkongais appellent "3-ans et 8-mois", du 25 déc 1941 au 16 aout 1945.
